The Triangle Gay Men’s Chorus will present “Threads of Hope”, a concert honoring North Carolina GLBTQ Pride Weekend, with Special Guests the Gay Men’s Chorus of Charlotte. (www.gmccharlotte.org)
A portion of the proceeds from this concert will benefit the Alliance of AIDS Services- Carolina. (www.aas-c.org)
This concert opens TGMC’s 2009-2010 concert season, “Woven Together”.
Each chorus will present a portion of the program, then perform several pieces as a combined chorus.
TGMC will present an encore performance of the acclaimed “BraveSouls and Dreamers” cantata, by Robert Seeley and Robert Espindola, which TGMC premiered in the Triangle in June 2009 to rave reviews. TGMC also welcomes guest soloist mezzo soprano Evelyn McCauley, of the Durham Savoyards, to this performance.
“Threads of Hope” will take place at 8pm, Friday evening, September 25 at the Long View Center, 118 South Person Street, in downtown Raleigh.
Tickets will be $12.00 in advance, and $15.00 at the door.
